This event in is planned to pick up on the themes developed at the WHO conference that was held in Rio, and to consider the practical actions that can be taken within and by Europe to address the global social determinants of health. • Monitoring progress - measurement and analysis of health inequities and policies to address the social determinants of health (SDH)
  • Promoting participation - community leadership for action on SDH
  • Governance to tackle the root causes of health inequity - implementing intersectoral action and health in all policies
  • The social determinants of health - national policy and global imperatives
  • Health systems as social determinants - the role of the health sector in reducing health inequities
  • Developing international and global partnerships

Places for this event are very limited with high demand, and registration will be on a first-come basis. If you would like to register, go to the Social Determinants of Health event website. There will be no walk-in registration on the day.
