Promoting mental wellbeing- emerging neuroscience evidence & practical application of a mindfulness-based approach

The workshop will be led by Dr Sue Elliston
This session will cover:
- An introduction to the theory of mindfulness as an approach to managing stress & promoting mental wellbeing
- Latest research evidence including the neuroscience which underpins this approach
- An opportunity to practice a range of ?techniques? (taken from ?mindfulness?, yoga & NLP) aimed at promoting wellbeing
- An opportunity to reflect on their relevance both personally and in relation to the behaviour change public health agenda.
The event is relevant for:
All public health professionals / workers (for example, anyone whose role impacts the health and wellbeing of individuals / communities / populations)
How to apply:
- The event is free to attend* (Failure to attend without 48 hours notice will result in an administration fee of £45 per delegate)
